Asparagus Spears and Lettuce Salad

Ingredients

1 butter lettuce washed and crisped in refrigerator

1 red leaf lettuce washed and crisped in refrigerator

1 cos lettuce washed and crisped in refrigerator

3 bunches fresh asparagus

1 red onion finely sliced

Description

French dressing is nice with this salad.

Directions

Wash and dry all lettuce leaves, then tear into bite-sized pieces, removing stalks.

Chop the base off asparagus and steam on high for 3 minutes.

Then plunge asparagus into icy water for 30–40 seconds, then drain well.

Cut asparagus into bite-sized pieces.

Combine all ingredients and toss with one of our dressings.
